I am a creative textile practitioner, with over twenty years’ experience in teaching, delivering workshops, and facilitating creative community projects.
I worked for 10 years as a Textile Teacher in a secondary school, delivering Art Textiles and Design Technology subjects.
The past 6 years I have facilitated creative textile workshops in the community with various organisations.
I lead textile workshops in block printing, batik, applique with hand embroidery and sewn products.
For many years I organised a community group called Space to Sew, a regular meet for adults of all abilities to make time to sew their personal projects.
During the covid pandemic I contributed towards online Zoom creative activities, organising various projects and delivering packs to participants at home and co-ordinated the making of panels for a ‘Covid Quilt’.
Most recently I am delivering textile workshops to home educated young people and in the process of developing and expanding my workshops.
