I run a supper club and am a private chef in Hebden Bridge I want my business to go towards regeneration, accessibility, and the social impact of good food, and I am keen to contribute my skills to organisations working at the intersection of food, people, and place.
More recently, I have been involved in community-based food projects, including collaborating with a local veg box scheme to develop recipes, photography, and digital content for their newsletters and social platforms. I am also working with local growers to plan food-focused events that centre education, nourishment, and connection, using accessible pricing models such as pay-what-you-can.I am particularly interested in the role food plays in communication, education, and social cohesion. Through regular volunteer work supporting people seeking asylum, I have seen first-hand how growing, cooking, and sharing food can support dignity, identity, and community connection. I believe accessible, healthy food systems are increasingly vital in times of social and economic uncertainty. I would welcome the opportunity to be able to collaborate with other local businesses or charities and use my skills for the benefit of others, as well as expanding my business to the wider community and getting involved in projects and events!
