Bursting with colour, texture and light, Rachael Gorton’s paintings reimagine gardens and natural spaces, transforming fleeting moments of seasonal change into lasting impressions. From the hush of woodlands to the intensity of a summer meadow, her work evokes the richness of being immersed in the natural world – not just its forms but its feeling. Layered with thick paint, her canvasses catch changing light and seem to shift, bringing a new dimension to any space. These are pieces that ground, uplift and transform everyday spaces into personal encounters with colour, texture and the wonder of the living world.
Alongside her studio practice, Rachael is passionate about sharing the joys of art, creativity and making — and their benefits for health, wellbeing and wider skills. A fully qualified educator with over 15 years of experience, she delivers talks, workshops, courses and community art projects. At the heart of her work is painting: she exhibits widely, creates original pieces and commissions, and brings art to life in public spaces, workplaces and events.
