I am an artist working with natural materials, exploring ancient crafts, contemplating the cycles of life, and highlighting how creativity in collaboration with the nature can bring peace and healing. Much of my work focusses on making burial shrouds, which are both functional objects and works of art. I lead workshops which explore the ritual aspects and creative possibilities of shrouds and shroud making. Alongside my art practice, I am a death doula offering practical, emotional and spiritual support with a person centred approach to individuals and their families at the end of life or following a death. I have been featured on the BBC in a piece about natural burial and on the Dutch Nation News talking about creative and alternative approaches to care of the dead.
