I was making a good living as miniature model maker/sculptor in the 90’s, until all the model shops closed down. Alas turning down a chance of a job at Pinewood Studios, I went for a regular pay-check in IT. Disillusioned with the industry and following covid, I went back to my creative side.
As a practical creator and with a proven 25 years in sales, marketing, product management and reputation as an ideas guy. I second guessed where 3D printing was going before Grand View Research put a $88bn label on it by 2030. Forming Railroads & Railways Ltd back in 2021 to become a complete end to end solution from conception, production, packaging marketing and delivery. Maintaining it’s own branded products as proof of concept.
Currently contracting with two West Yorkshire model companies I have produced both hard (inanimate objects) & soft (natural world) digital models and progressed these to production ready (reliable/bulk) 3D printable files. My selling point accuracy/scale, detail, ability to work to engineering tolerances, while also able to deliver sculpting/fine art and concept design.
Praised by members of the railway hobby and hobby press, it was said by one magazine editor of a leaked collection of warehouse figures. They were the most detailed and finely scaled 3D retail models he had seen in the UK.
