About me:
I’m a filmmaker and video professional based in Huddersfield, collaborating internationally across; features, documentaries, corporate film, animation, innovative theatre, virtual production, time-lapse and education. I run The Digital Cortex Ltd, a video production company. Alongside my film work I co-founded the Square Lens Alliance – an organisation aims to support and develop creative talent in the North.
About my journey with CalderdaleCreates:
I’ve been part of Calderdale Creates for for a year now, sitting on the steering committee and feeding in from the world I work in — film, creative industries, education, and other and networks I’m involved with. It’s a genuine two-way thing: I bring ideas and insight in, and help carry Calderdale’s creative voice out into other spaces too.
What I want for Calderdale Creates is simple really – a stronger, more joined-up cultural scene where new voices are encouraged, talent is backed, and creativity is seen as central to the borough’s identity, not a bolt-on. I genuinely believe the arts and creative sector have a massive role to play in shaping places – in how we see ourselves and how others see us. Culture can bring people together, spark change, and offer real value to communities – and that’s what I’m here to support.
